I am excited and grateful for the confidence that the residents of Abbeville have shown in
me by electing me as their Mayor. The memories of Abbeville that I have as a child are matchless. I am convinced that there is no place on earth that could have equaled the benefits of being raised in a small town with a big heart.
Because of the importance of a quality childhood and the fact that there are very few places that still offer this type of environment, my wife and I are extremely pleased to be able to raise our family here in Abbeville. Even though other small towns continue to be consumed by large metropolitan areas in our state, our town is still here and thriving. The reason is that our town is not a place, it’s an idea. The idea is that through cooperation and support of each other, a small town with large values and principles can continue to exist even in a society that suggests otherwise.
I believe that even as good as Abbeville is and has been in the past, our best years are ahead. Please continue to find ways to get involved and help Abbeville by helping others in your community.
