The City of Abbeville’s Animal Control Unit periodically find animals that appear to be lost and have been picked up. These animals may or may not have identifying tags on them. When we find these animals, we will check with the local veterinarians to see if they can assist us in returning these them to their owners. If you recognize any of these animals (shown below), please contact the city at 334.585.6444 Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or after hours and on weekends, call the Abbeville Police Department at 334.585.2221.
Found February 17th on 431 north of Abbeville, a large female brindle dog. Call (334) 585-6444 or (334) 585-1009 for more information. She is very sweet. Gets along well with people, large and small animals. Please call us if this could be your dog or if you would like to adopt her.
