The Grounds & Maintenance department was established to focus on the maintenance of our city streets, flora and fauna. This department ensures that the trees and shrubs on the City right of ways are kept properly pruned and watered. They are also responsible for the maintenance of our city operated cemeteries. They also assist other departments as needed.
Grounds & Maintenance ensures that Abbeville is a beautiful and welcoming City to live and visit. All requests for special assistance related to Grounds & Maintenance should be directed to the Department Manager or to the City Clerk.
Additionally, the Department manager serves as an Animal Control officers as needed. Please help the city control our animal population by having your pets spayed or neutered. To report animal abuse please contact the Abbeville Police Department at 334.585.2221.
